Welcome to CoinLedger!! If this is your first time using our app, we're thrilled to have you here! Once you've set up your account and logged in for the first time, here are the next steps you should take to make sure your experience at CoinLedger gets off to a great start. Check out this tutorial below, or watch our CoinLedger Demo video to learn more about using our app!

Import Your Accounts

First, let's start by importing data from all the exchanges, wallets, dapps and platforms you have used to buy, sell and trade crypto over the years. From the Import stage of CoinLedger, select Add Account.

Then, select the blockchain, exchange or wallet account you'd like to import. Follow the prompts on screen or check out the rest of our Help Center for detailed import instructions on each integration we support.

You'll want to repeat the import process for each account you've used to trade crypto over the years. Make sure to import all of your historical transaction data to ensure that your tax reports and portfolio tracker calculations are as accurate as possible. Once you've imported all of your data, you are ready to move on to the next step!

Review Your Data

On the Transactions page of the CoinLedger app you can review, edit and manage each of your imported transactions. Here you can filter by specific accounts, assets or transaction types across your entire account, or you can drill down into specific transactions by clicking on them to expand your view.

If your account is flagged for any warnings such as a Missing Cost Basis warning or Uncategorized Transactions, you'll see those here at the top of your screen. Missing Cost Basis warnings and other issues with your data like duplicate or uncategorized transactions can be viewed and managed on the Missing Cost Basis Troubleshooting Tab. This page is a dynamic summary of all missing data on your account with specific suggestions on how to resolve your missing basis warnings. Learn more here.

Download Your Tax Reports

Now that you have imported and reviewed your crypto transaction history data, you're ready to view and download your tax reports! Head to the Tax Reports page in CoinLedger. Here you'll see a breakdown of your gains or losses for the year as well as any income you've made from crypto.

To access your tax reports, you'll have to purchase them first. When you are ready to make your purchase, please do so by selecting the tax year you want to purchase a report for. Once you've clicked the proper tax year, select Upgrade to Unlock anywhere that it appears on your screen. Learn more here.

Finally, you can view and download each tax report that CoinLedger offers. Click on the Tax Report Downloads menu and select generate for the report you'd like to access. Then, press download. To learn more about the reports CoinLedger offers, visit this article.

Track Your Portfolio

After you've viewed and downloaded this year's tax reports, you're ready to check out your crypto portfolio! CoinLedger’s Portfolio Tracker tracks the amount, price, market value, cost basis, percentage change, and unrealized return of the cryptocurrencies held across all of your imported wallets. CoinLedger begins tracking your portfolio automatically as soon as you import data, and best of all, it's completely free to use for all users! Learn more about our Portfolio Tracker here, or click this link to check out your portfolio.

And that's it! Now that you've used CoinLedger for the first time, check out the rest of our Help Center for more information on our app, or reach out to our Support Team at anytime if you have any questions! We can be reached by email at [email protected] or by selecting the chat icon anywhere in the bottom right corner of your screen. We're looking forward to your message :)
