File Import Walkthrough

Step 1

Log into your BYDFi account.

Step 2

To export all transactions, you have to download deposit, withdrawal, and trade files separately.

First, repeat this process below for both the deposit and withdrawal files on your account.

a) In the top right corner, hover over the Assets icon and select My Assets. Then, on the left hand navigation menu, select Funds History.

b) Select a Deposit History tab and press the Export button. For the Withdrawal History file, navigate to that tab and repeat these steps.

c)

  • Select the date range for your file before exporting.

  • The maximum date range for file exports on BYDFi is any time in the previous 90 days. Their site does not allow you to export transactions from more than 90 days ago. Any remaining transactions outside this 90 day window can be imported into CoinLedger manually.

  • After selecting your Time Period press the Export button.

Step 3

Next, to get the Trade History file, navigate to the Orders tab, then Spot. After that, select the Trade History tab.

Import into CoinLedger

You will receive three files in .xls format. Navigate to Step 1. Import. Select Add Account then choose the BYDFi tab on CoinLedger. Click on Upload File or drag your XLS files one by one into the box to import your transactions.

When importing a transaction history CSV, you will have the option to specify a start date for your import under the Drag and Drop Files Here box. This feature is designed to prevent duplicate data from being imported. You can access this feature by hitting the Import Settings drop down menu, as shown below, and then specifying a date for your import to start from. All transactions after this date will be imported. You should not do this if you are importing all of your transactions into CoinLedger for the first time.

BYDFi File Limitations

Converts made in BYDFi cannot be exported at this time. In order to prevent any missing cost basis errors, please import those transactions manually using Manual import https://help.coinledger.io/en/articles/2584884-manual-import-guide.
