Learn how to import your Bitrue transactions using their transaction history file by following the steps below! To automatically import your Bitrue transactions using their API, please check out this guide.

Step-by-Step Import Instructions

Step 1:
Login to your Bitrue account.

Step 2:
Click Assets and then Overview from the top navigation bar.

Step 3:
Click on the Export Asset Transaction History button and use the following options.

  1. Trade History

  2. Desired Year

  3. Export a file in 3 month increments

(You will be able to upload multiple files to cover the entire year)

Step 4:
You will receive files in CSV format. Within CoinLedger navigate to Import. Select Add Account then choose the Bitrue tab on CoinLedger. Click on Upload File and drag each of your CSV files into the box to import your transactions.

When importing a transaction history CSV, you will have the option to specify a start date for your import under the Drag and Drop Files Here box. This feature is designed to prevent duplicate data from being imported. You can access this feature by hitting the Import Settings drop down menu, as shown below, and then specifying a date for your import to start from. All transactions after this date will be imported. You should not do this if you are importing all of your transactions into CoinLedger for the first time.

NOTE: Bitrue does not export complete transaction data for fiat purchases made on exchange (buying crypto with fiat currency.) The Transaction History file only includes the crypto amount received and does not include the fiat amount spent. As a result, CoinLedger imports these transactions as deposits (non-taxable self-transfers). Refer to this guide for instructions for how to edit the Deposit transaction and change it to a Fiat Buy.
