How to import your PayPal transactions into CoinLedger

Step 1:

Log in to your PayPal account

Step 2:

Select the Settings icon and then select Statements and Taxes.

Step 3:

Scroll down to the Crypto section. Select the proper tax year and then download the Transactions statement for your crypto history, NOT the Gain/Loss statement. Be sure to upload your transaction history statements into CoinLedger for all previous tax years as well.

Step 4:

Download your statement. Within CoinLedger navigate to Step 1. Import. Select Add Account then choose PayPal. Click on Upload File or drag your CSV file into the box to import your transactions.

When importing a transaction history CSV, you will have the option to specify a start date for your import under the Drag and Drop Files Here box. This feature is designed to prevent duplicate data from being imported. You can access this feature by hitting the Import Settings drop down menu, as shown below, and then specifying a date for your import to start from. All transactions after this date will be imported. You should not do this if you are importing all of your transactions into CoinLedger for the first time.
