When you sign up to be an Affiliate Partner, you'll receive a unique referral link that tracks everyone who clicks and signs up for an account. Refer CoinLedger to your friends, followers, and clients using this link, and when they successfully sign up and pay for a report, you'll be paid a 25% recurring commission for every year they do their crypto taxes with us.

To become an official CoinLedger Affiliate, first head over to our Affiliate sign-up page. Next, follow the steps below:

Click on the link above and enter your email. Next, create a safe and secure password to use with your Affiliate account.

When prompted, review and then accept the terms and conditions of the Affiliate Program.

Next, you'll be taken to your Affiliate Dashboard, where you can find your Account Information, successful referrals, special coupons and promo codes, and more.

Add your PayPal account as your payout method.

Note: We will not send your payout to a different email than the one on your Affiliate Account. These emails must match for your payout to be sent.

Finally, generate your own custom Affiliate Partner link! First, head back to the Dashboard page and scroll down to the bottom where you'll see this menu. Go ahead and click Customize Link.

Next, enter a custom referral link and be sure to make it a No Follow link by following the steps below. As a note, Nofollow links are links that are not listed publicly on search engines. In this case, your Affiliate Program referral link should be a nofollow link to protect your security and privacy and to ensure that it is accessed exclusively by people you refer to our service.

First, click on Links. Then, at the bottom of the menu select Add Links.

Next, you'll see an option to make your custom referral link.

The link will start with the base URL of our website, which is the following: http://coinledger.io

Model your custom link after this example URL by adding fpr= in front of the base URL.

Now, it should look like so: http://coinledger.io?fpr=

After the equal sign, add your own custom referral code. In this example, my custom referral is test123. Add it after the equal sign with no space in between.

Example: http://coinledger.io?fpr=test123

Finally, before hitting save, do not forget to add the following phrase to the end of your URL (with one space in between): rel="nofollow"

This ensures that you follow the security and privacy steps we outlined above.

Before continuing, your screen should now look something like this:

If everything looks correct, go ahead and hit Save. Now, you've got created your very own custom referral link which you can use to refer friends, family, and clients to CoinLedger!

When your referrals sign up using your custom referral link, they'll see that 10% discount automatically applied to their account on the checkout page, as shown below:

To get paid, you must first have accrued at least $30 of referral credits in your Affiliate Account. Then, you must reach out to our Customer Support Team and request your Affiliate Payout. After your payout request is processed, payment will be sent via PayPal.

I'm a Tax Professional. Can I send my clients a referral link?

Yes! You will need to create an Affiliate Account separately from your Tax Professional account. Your clients will need to follow the referral link, create their own Personal Accounts, and then purchase their reports. Then their report purchase will be credited to your Affiliate Account and from your Tax Professional account, you will be able to review your client's imported data and download their reports.

I referred someone but I don't see a payout in my account. What happened?

The people you referred likely did not sign up for an account, or signed up but did not pay for their report. In order to count as a successful referral under the Affiliate Program, your referral must purchase a tax report.

What’s the referral cookie life?

The referral cookie life is 15 days. If a user purchases the product after 15 days since the first referred visit, the conversion won’t be tracked anymore.

Why can’t I see my sign-ups and/or rewards?

Our tracking is based on browser cookies. So if you used a different browser/device from the visitors to sign up, you cleared your cookies, you used incognito, or you signed up from your own referral link, the signup might not be tracked. If you are 100% sure the sign-up or sale was not tracked correctly, contact our referral platform provider at [email protected].

Can I sign up using my own referral link?

No. Unfortunately, self-referrals are strictly prohibited. The aim of a referral program is to encourage affiliates and ambassadors to spread the word about our product, not to get discounts.
