In the crypto space, it's pretty common for different assets to share the same ticker symbol. CoinLedger automatically maps out the most common asset types based on the exchange where they are traded.

However, there may be some cases where you might need to manually add your own asset map. This article outlines how to create an Asset Map that will match a particular crypto asset with the correct ticker symbol.

Step 1

Navigate to your account Settings by clicking the profile icon in the top right corner of the page.

Step 2

Navigate to Advanced Settings and then select Add Map.

Step 3

Enter the asset's ticker symbol in the Ticker Symbol field. Then, match it to the appropriate coin under the Asset field. You can search here for any asset.

For example, if I wanted to map all USDC assets imported into my CoinLedger account to USDC on the Ethereum blockchain, I would type USDC as my ticker symbol and I would select USDC (on Ethereum) from the drop-down asset menu.

If you're having trouble finding a specific coin, make sure that Show only my assets is unchecked.

Finally, select whether you want this mapping to apply to All Platforms across your account, or just a single platform.

Once you have selected your platform, press Save. Now this mapping will apply to the ticker symbol and platform(s) you specified.

You can edit or delete any asset mappings at any time from the Advanced Settings page in CoinLedger.
