CoinLedger offers 2 different options / templates for importing trades from exchanges or crypto platforms that are not currently supported.

  1. Other Exchange Template (Detailed Format)

    *Please use Google Sheets to fill out this template. Excel will often format timestamps incorrectly which leads to errors*

Step 1:
Make a copy of the Other Exchange CSV Template in Google Sheets.


Step 2:
Fill out this template for each of your trades that need to be imported:


UTC Timestamp:
The UTC timestamp of your trade (VERY IMPORTANT to ensure your dates are in UTC!!)
- Make sure to convert your exchange's local time to UTC.


- This should be in the format of: mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss

Exchange:
The name of the exchange the trade was made on.

Trade Type:
The trade type can be either Buy or Sell

Base Currency:
The base currency in the trading pair.
The standard format for currency pairs is BASE-QUOTE. 

Example: In a trade where you bought BTC using USD, BTC is the base currency.

Base Amount:
The amount of the base currency that you traded (Excluding Fees).

Quote Currency:
The quote currency in the trading pair.
The standard format for currency pairs is BASE-QUOTE. 

Example: In a trade where you bought BTC using USD, USD is the quote currency.

Quote Amount:
The amount of quote currency that you traded (Excluding Fees).
Note: If the transaction file you are working with only displays the price per share, then the Quote Amount can be calculated as the price per coin * the amount of coins traded.

Fee Currency (Optional):
The currency that the fee was paid in.

Fee Amount (Optional):
The amount of fees paid.


Step 3:
Save this template as a CSV file to your computer.


Step 3:
Navigate back to the CoinLedger site and upload your CSV file to the Other Account tab.
